Britney Spears' father would resign as the artist's legal guardianThe singer's legal fight against her father would be coming to an end, Jamie Spears announced in a statement.

Through a court document presented by the defense of Britney Spears' father , Jamie Spears,  the possibility that he may cease to be his daughter's guardian is confirmed .

" Mr. Spears wants to work with the court and his daughter's new attorney to prepare for an orderly transition to a new guardian, " the statement stated.

In the statement, in addition, the father of the pop singer reveals the "attacks" he has received for being a tutor.  "However, even when Mr. Spears is the relentless target of unwarranted attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter for her continued service as her guardian is in her best interest ."

It should be remembered that since 2008, after the 39-year-old singer had health problems, Jamie Spears assumed the management of her daughter's inheritance and properties, which amount to 60 million dollars.

As of 2018, the pop princess, in protest against her father, decided not to make any public presentation due to the control she had over her assets and her career .

Mat Rosengart, Britney's lawyer, celebrated Jamie Spears' decision , although he targeted him for the "shameful attacks" suffered by the singer. "We are pleased that Mr. Spears and his attorney admitted today in a docket that he should be dismissed. It is a vindication for Britney. However, we are disappointed by her constant shameful and reprehensible attacks on Ms. Spears and others."

The last hearing

In June of this year there was a new hearing on his case in which the pop star made known the despair he was suffering due to the radical decision that the court made regarding the unbridled life he led at that time.

“I have told the world that I am happy and well (…)  I am traumatized, I am not happy, I cannot sleep ,” said Britney Spears during the virtual conference.

In addition to that, he pointed out that he was prescribed lithium  (a medicine to treat psychiatric illnesses such as bipolarity) against his will. “It is a strong drug. You can be mentally damaged if you stay with her for more than 5 months. I felt drunk, I couldn't even have a conversation with my mom or dad about anything. They had me with six different nurses, "said the American.

He also mentioned that he wants to start a family with his current partner since 2016,  Sam Asghari , for which he demanded that an intrauterine device that they put on him be removed in order not to have more children.

“I wanted to remove it (the IUD) to be able to try to have another baby, but this supposed team does not allow me to go to the doctor to do it because they do not want me to have more children (…) So basically this guardianship is hurting me more than benefiting me. I deserve to have a life. I've worked my whole life, "Spears explained.
